Hi, I’m DJ — founder of Koessler Strategies and a trusted advisor to political candidates, causes, companies, and cultural influencers.
For more than a decade, I’ve worked at the intersection of Democratic politics, advocacy, and media. I led social and digital rapid response for Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 presidential campaign, served on Hillary Clinton’s digital and political teams in 2016, and got my start organizing young voters for Barack Obama in 2012.
Along the way, I sharpened my skills at top agencies like Blue State, then went on to build and lead high-performing teams at Climate Power and Stand Up America. I’ve advised Fortune 100 brands, helped win major campaigns, and written for globally recognized politicians, entertainers, and athletes.
When I’m not with clients, I teach strategic communication at Columbia University, where I earned my master’s degree.
